Delhi Cong workers hold demonstration against AAP

NEW DELHI: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Maken on Monday said that his party had started its fight against the AAP government's corruption two and a half years ago, and had won the fight by getting 20 AAP MLAs disqualified for 'office of profit'.
"We will win our second battle only when Kejriwal is removed as Chief Minister," he said at a massive demonstration seeking Kejriwal's resignation on corruption charges.
"Thousands of Congress workers, who assembled at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, before marching towards the Players' Building, Delhi Secretariat, were stopped by the Delhi Police by erecting barricades near the ITO crossing," said Maken.
Carrying placards and banners, the Congress demonstrators shouted slogans against the alleged corruption of the Kejriwal government, and asked him to step down if an iota of morality was left in him, as he had preached clean and corruption-free politics before the Assembly elections.
