Delhi BJP celebrates Kovind's elevation

Many BJP Delhi leaders on Thursday celebrated official announcement of Ramnath Kovind being elected as 14th elected President of India, hailing it as the dream of 'Antyodaya' being realised, as the son of a Dalit reached the highest position of the country.

The BJP SC Morcha workers assembled at the Pradesh Office with band and drums.

There was an atmosphere of celebration at the Pradesh Office and the workers danced on the beat of drums. The workers expressed their happiness by applying gulaal on each other, while Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari distributed sweets.

Tiwari termed this victory "historic" and said that the background from which Kovind has reached Rashtrapati Bhavan is a matter of pride for us. "Hence we need to celebrate." Tiwari said that Kovind's victory is the victory of crores of Dalits.
