NE woman pulled out from auto by audacious snatchers

The dividing line between snatchers and robbers is getting thinner as the acts of the snatchers are getting more and more dangerous with each passing day.
In a daring robbery attempt on Sunday, a woman from North East was pulled out of a moving auto rickshaw as she resisted the bike snatcher's attempt when the men tried to snatch her purse in Lajpat Nagar area.
The snatchers fled away with the purse, leaving the woman with injuries which she sustained after she fell down on road.
The injuries were severe enough for the woman to be admitted to a hospital.
The woman later approached the police and a case was registered in Lajpat Nagar Police Station.
"The lady who is from Meghalaya was discharged from the hospital on Sunday. We have formed teams to arrest the accused persons involved in the snatching," said DCP South East Romil Baniya.
In another incident reported from Shakarpur on Sunday, a 54-year-old woman was robbed in a moving auto in east Delhi.
It was also alleged that when the woman resisted the snatchers to take her gold bangles, the bike-borne assailants opened fire in the air to scare her.
The robbers also forcibly stopped her auto and took out her bangles which left her bleeding.
A passerby informed cops after which an FIR was lodged but the assailants are still at large.
The cops are trying to arrest the snatchers but the daring snatching incidents created a worry for the Delhi Police.
