IAF man falls off Metro RTV bus in Sangam Vihar, dies

A man working with Air Force station Tughlaqabad in South East Delhi died after he fell from the Metro RTV bus in Sangam Vihar on Sunday night.

The deceased, identified as Ajay Gaurav, was travelling with his family in the RTV when he allegedly lost balance while taking the ticket and fell from the open door.

Gaurav suffered from a serious head injury and was rushed to the hospital but was declared brought dead.

Ajay was a native from Bihar and was residing in Delhi with his family.

It has been learnt that the sudden speeding of the bus made Ajay lose balance while standing near the entry door of the RTV.

Police say he was not holding anything and as he put his hand inside his wallet to buy a ticket he lost balance.

According to police, he was rushed to the nearby hospital immediately but could not be saved.

"We have registered an FIR under sections 279 and 304 Aof IPC against the driver of the RTV. We have not made any arrest so far and are yet to find out whose fault it was," said DCP South East Romil Baaniya.
