Ggn cops get gang involved in vehicle thefts

In two separate cases, the Gurugram Police was able to successfully get hold of burglars involved in carrying out thefts of vehicles in the households.
In the first case, the police arrested three persons who were involved in stealing over seven motorcycles from the National Capital Region's Sohna area.
The accused persons have been identified as Shakil, Hakim and Salim and stole motorcycles from areas of Badshahpur, Sector-50 area of Gurugram and also in Noida and Delhi.
The seven motorcycles stolen have also been recovered by the police.
In another case, the police arrested two persons who were involved in the burglaries
in the households along with vehicle theft and chain snatching.
The two arrested have been identified as Rinku and Chaman.
The police recovered a stolen auto, a country made pistol and one live cartridge from the culprits.
The two have been charged under sections of 398 (carrying out robbery with a deadly weapon), 401 (crime committed in form of a gang) of the Indian Penal Code and 25.54.59 of the Arms Act.
According to police, the two men confessed that they were in the process of stealing a vehicle when they were caught by the police.
"It is a major success for the Gurugram Police to get hold of these thieves.
"It is surely expected to put brakes on the cases of theft in the city," said a senior official from Gurugram.
