New Ggn residents protest against errant builders, lack of facilities

Once regarded as an area where the next real estate growth of Gurugram would begin, various deficiencies now looms over sectors of New Gurugram area that spans from Sector 81 to 95.
The defects have resulted in several citizens holding protest against the civic agencies as well as the builders.
On Sunday, over 100 residents protested against Vatika developer for levying higher maintenance charges but providing poor facilities.
The residents in their protest highlighed that how the plastered materials of the building are wearing off even though it is a new construction.
With most of the projects started in 2008, the inhabitants had to first face the difficulty of delay in possession and now facing the issues of poor quality of construction.
"Areas like New Gurugram and Dwarka Expressway was envisioned as new real estate revolution in Gurugram. Unfortunately, most of the projects got started in 2008 when the bad times for real estate companies had started," said a property expert who wished to be anonymous.
In most of the areas, there are no roads for connectivity due to legal issues or dispute between the builder and the civic agency.
Residents in these sectors have also raised their grievances on the erratic power supply and proper supply of water.
"I bought the flat at the area in 2009 but have not shifted even after 8 years because the infrastructure is still not adequate for me to shift with my family," said Raman Malik.
