AAP govt responsible for contaminated water: BJP

Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party chief Manoj Tiwari alleged callousness of Kejriwal government in supply of contaminated water through taps, the reason why people are suffering due to water borne diseases.

Moreover, people are getting hefty bills and are compelled to buy bottled water for drinking, Tiwari said.

While appointing the new minister, the Chief Minister had assured the people that now they will get sufficient and pure drinking water and there will be no need to buy bottled water.

Delhi BJP President has said that despite Chief Minister's assurances, water supply continues to be extremely short in the unauthorised colonies and villages, even in the areas where water supply is regular, the water is highly contaminated. People are forced to set-up R.O. system & water purifiers or buy bottled water.

Tiwari has said that Delhi Jal Board is a white elephant where corruption is rampant even as people are facing acute water shortage and problem due to contaminated water and sewers overflowing on roads.

There is neither regular sewer cleaning system drawn up nor any regular water supply line maintenance work in Delhi Jal Board.
