21-year-old Air Hostess stabbed by a youth

Family members reported that they were at their at their workplaces when the incident took place.

A 21-year-old aspiring air hostess was critically injured after getting stabbed by a youth known to her in Mansarovar Park of Shahdara district. She was admitted to a government hospital where she was operated.
The incident reportedly took place around 5:30 pm, when the girl had gone to buy some groceries.The youth, later identified as Adil (22), stays two lanes away from the girl.
Eyewitnesses told the police that the two had an argument over something after which Adil pulled out a knife and stabbed her multiple times in her abdomen and chest.
Hearing the girl's calls for help, locals rushed to the spot. Adil then fled the spot with the knife. The girl's family was informed and she was rushed to GTB hospital where doctors said that she was in a critical condition.
"We have registered a case under IPC Section 307 (attempt to murder). The youth's family members are being questioned to know his whereabouts," said DCP (Shahdara) Nupur Prasad.
Family members told that the girl was pursuing a course at a famous air hostess training academy in east Delhi and the incident took place when her parents at their workplaces.
CCTV footage from the area recovered by the cops clearly shows the suspect (Adil), following the girl towards the shop and then running away after stabbing her.
Police said that Adil had earlier been arrested from Mansarovar Park on charges of auto-lifting. He was also involved in petty crimes before this. The statement of the girl's parents will be recorded to find out whether he had been stalking her.
