Man arrested over murder of East MCD employee

After the body of a MCD worker was found in Greater Noida in the month of January, the Delhi Police have claimed to have cracked the case with the arrest of one person on Tuesday.
The criminal, identified as Dharampal, was arrested with a country made pistol after the police had received information about his whereabouts.
After the technical inputs were received, the police laid a trap outside a local Gurudwara in Seelampur, and upon identification, he was apprehended from the spot.
When Dharampal was interrogated, he told the police that he had killed the MCD employee Nargesh, after the latter failed to pay back his loan, police said.
"Nargesh, who was working in East MCD had taken a loan of Rs 70, 000 from Dharampal. However, he never returned the money and also took an additional loan of Rs 1,50,000 from another person identified as Jagpal," said a senior police official.
When Nargesh did not return their money, the duo made a plan to get back their money by kidnapping the victim and taking him to Amnabad Village in Greater Noida.
"The accused assaulted him several times and later started to bang his head on a wall, leading to his death," the official added.
The police is now on the look-out for Jagpal.
