Guard found dead outside motorcycle showroom

A security guard posted outside a motorcycle Showroom in Rohini area was found murdered on Tuesday.
The guard, identified as Sri Prakash, was posted outside the showroom for the past one month.
The police have so far not been able to ascertain the cause of his murder, however, the police have claimed that a scooty stationed outside the showroom and the CCTV footage of the incident has been found missing.
According to police, the showroom had opened up around a month ago and Sri Prakash was deputed to man the premises.
He is a resident of Uttar Pradesh and stays alone in Rohini at a rented accommodation.
During prima facie investigation, the police found that on Monday night, the guard was assaulted by unidentified men with a blunt object.
The police have claimed that the men were probably thieves who tried to steal from the showroom.
"The guard had finished his dinner and was getting ready to sleep. He used to wake up in a few hours and return to his house. But he was assaulted by an unidentified group with a blunt object and was left bleeding. He died the following morning," said a senior police official.
On Tuesday morning, a passerby spotted the gate of the showroom open and approached the premises to find that the guard was lying unconscious with blood trickling from his forehead.
The guard was taken to a local hospital and declared brought dead by the doctors on arrival.
"A postmortem is currently being conducted. Since the CCTV footage from the showroom is missing, we are finding it difficult to trace the whereabouts of the accused," the official further added.
