24 vehicles fined for misusing black tinted windows

After launching a massive operation against the overloaded vehicles, the Gurugram Police on Monday carried out a special campaign against the misuse of black films on car window panes.
On Monday, 24 such vehicles were fined. Officials highlighted that the drive will be carried not only within the city but also on the outskirts where a large number of such cases are reported.
Mentioning it to be a participative process, the district police have asked the citizens to load the pictures of such vehicles on the social media so that action can be initiated.
Meanwhile, the action against the overloaded vehicles was carried out even on the second day.
On July 2, 12 vehicles were fine by the officials due to the same.
This included two in the eastern district, one from the western district and nine in the South District.
This in addition to the previous vehicles that have been fined makes it to a total of 21 cases.
The police have registered complaints under sections of 279 (rash driving), 336 (endangering personal safety), 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC.
"The police carry out various campaigns towards the safety and security of citizens. Taking action against vehicles with black tinted glasses and overloaded vehicles is just one such initiative. While we will continue to be strict on the violation ultimately it should be a citizen moment also where information of all such violations must be shared with the police," said a senior official from Gurugram police.
