One dead, several others injured in two separate accidents in Delhi

One died and several others were left injured in two separate accidents recorded in Delhi on Thursday night.
In the first case, an unidentified vehicle rammed into a scooty being driven by two students in Mukherjee Nagar, leaving one spot dead.
The other was immediately rushed to the Hospital where is being treated.
The students hailed from Sonipat, Haryana and were preparing for SSC. They were put up in a rented accommodation.
The deceased has been identified as Sumit while the injured is identified as Naveen.
The cops have registered a case of hit and run. They are also trying to collect the CCTV footage from the adjoining areas.
In the second accident, the cops received a call on Thursday evening regarding the serial accident and multiple persons injured near
12 Block Park Tilak Nagar, received at Tilak Nagar.
Immediately PCR and local staff reached the spot where they saw a gathering of 100-150 present on the spot.
The driver, Anup Kumar (32), a resident of Kirshna Park Tilak Nagar New Delhi, driving a Maruti Eco Car was also found there.
With immediate response by the cops, the injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
The driver had fled the spot after seeing the crowd but was soon nabbed.
On inquiry, it has been revealed that the driver of the offending vehicle was drunk and he initially hit a scooty and then hit around six more vehicles.
"Total 12 people were injured and their MLCs prepared. All injuries are found to be minor. A case has been registered and the driver of the offending vehicle was arrested in the case. Investigation of case is going on," said Vijay Kumar, DCP West.
