Maintenance work at Blue Line causes severe delay

Fetching disappointment to the commuters on the Blue Line, the Metro services on Thursday morning were delayed owing to 'maintenance work on the line', as cited by the DMRC officials.
The busy line that connects Noida and Vaishali to Dwarka was slowed down owing to the work being done in Pragati Maidan station.

The commuters who were traveling between 8 am and 11 am complained that the trains consumed more than 10 minutes to reach from one station to another. Generally, it takes up to two minutes for the same.
Metro officials said, "The delay was due to maintenance work near Pragati Maidan station."

Speaking to Millennium Post, a daily commuter, Rajesh Kumar said, "The stranded metros on the Blue Line have become a regular sight. These commotions are never ending."

According to the DMRC officials, it was a minor delay which was caused due to track maintenance on the Blue Line.

"The DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) was doing track maintenance work in front of the Pragati Maidan Metro Station. The work lasted for 10 minutes and is now over," said a DMRC official.
