Rs 10 lakh stolen from jeweller in Gurugram

A group of three men on Wednesday afternoon robbed items worth of Rs10 lakh from a jeweller in Badshahpur area within minutes.

The three burglars are still at large, however, their images have been captured in the CCTV cameras. Around 2:30 pm, the three masked men entered the shop of the jeweller after surveying it for five minutes.
Immediately after entering the shop, robbers flashed their county-made pistols on the employees and the owner Virender Soni. In order to intimidate the employees, they even slapped Soni. Within five minutes, the robbers were able to steal and get away with jewellery items worth Rs10 lakhs.

This case is another example of how the traders are being targeted at regular intervals in the outskirts of Gurugram that includes Badshahpur, Sohna, Farrukhnagar and Pataudi.

Recently, a jeweller was shot at the forehead in Farrukhnagar after he resisted the burglars of committing the crime. The traders in the area have been holding protests for better security measures. "We have been holding regular discussion with them with respect to their security. Most of the crimes against traders have been solved. We are also in the process of increasing patrolling," said a police officer.
