Flat where girl killed self was rented by her boyfriend

In the suicide case where a 21-year-old girl allegedly hanged herself inside a DDA flat in Rohini's Narela area, investigators have found that the flat had been temporarily rented by her boyfriend.

The keys of the flat were given by the boyfriend Ashish by a security guard, after Ashish contacted the flat's owner posing as a tenant on a classified advertising site.

Police have booked Ashish under abetement to suicide and arrested him.

According to sources, the girl had run away from her house to meet Ashish, with whom she was in a relationship.

Ashish could not take the girl to his home as he knew his parents would not approve of the relationship.

He then began searching for a flat on the classified advertising site Quikr and searched for flats near Alipur, where he lived.

After finding a flat in Narela, he contacted the owner.

The unsuspecting owner took Ashish for a genuine tenant and asked the security guard to hand over the flat's keys to him.

Ashish then took the girl to the flat and told her to stay there for a while.

The girl asked Ashish to return to his house, fearing that her parents could suspect his involvement in her disappearance and reach his house.
Ashish then locked her from outside and went home.

However, the boy later called her girl to tell her that cops were taking him to the police station for an inquiry.

Panicked, the girl committed suicide, leaving behind a note.

Sources said that in the suicide note the girl had asked him to lead a peaceful life after her death.

When cops reached the flat along with the boy, they found her body hanging from the wall on Friday.
