Girl found hanging in DDA flat, suicide note recovered

A 21-year-old girl's body was found hanging in a flat in Narela under mysterious circumstances a day after she appeared for her exam in Alipur.

The deceased was taken to the flat by her male friend where she allegedly committed suicide and her body was discovered a day after.

The cops are now questioning the 19-year-old boy who is also from Alipur.

According to sources, the girl went missing after she appeared for her BA exams in a college in Alipur.

"After she did not return home, her family lodged a missing report. Then, the cops formed teams to locate the girl," said sources.

During the investigation, it was learned that a local boy of the area Ashish Kumar known to her since 2013, had met her on that day.

"When the cops questioned Ashish, he said that the girl was with him the previous evening and he had left her at a vacant DDA flat.

"During the search, the one room flat was found locked from outside and she was found hanging from the ceiling fan. A suicide note has been recovered.

"Further investigation is in progress," said DCP Rohini Rishipal Singh.

The cops are now investigating the authenticity of the suicide note.

The Crime and Forensic teams visited the spot and collected the samples.The police are now investigating the case from all possible angles.
