Wanted inter-state contract killer lands in police net

The most wanted interstate gangster Rohit alias Lamba was arrested by Delhi Police Crime Branch and recovered one loaded country-made pistol with two live cartridges from his possession.
The accused was wanted in several murder cases in gang-war, contract killing, attempt to murder and carjacking in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

He was also wanted in sensational shootout case of Jhajjar Court complex on March 22 in which the rival gangster Kala Asodia was shot dead in police custody and has also committed murder of gangster Krishan Brahi in 2016 in his village.

He along with Ravi, another miscreant in Agra attacked a famous jeweller Dhan Prakash in 2015, who was shot outside his house. The accused was arrested on the basis of secret input received from informers on June 4.

"On the instructions of gang leader Ashok Pradhan, the accused Rohit along with Rohit alias Balli took a contract for killing Dhankumar Jain on November 22, 2015, outside his house in police protection. The victim somehow managed to save his life," said DCP Crime Bhishm Singh.
