Dyal Singh College holds Open Day session

Last year, eight students from Dyal Singh College went to court after they were detained due lack of attendance; the court decision, however, did not favour the students.

Taking no chances this year, authorities at Dyal Singh College, at the Open Day session on Wednesday, counselled aspirants one must take utmost care of attendance. Dr IC Bakshi, principal, Dyal Singh College, said it is compulsory for students to have at least 66 per cent attendance, or risk not being allowed to sit for exams.

Apart from the attendance, the college authorities started taking several doubts from the aspirants. Many students had queries regarding sports and extra-curricular activities quota.
Taking stock of the lack of seats due to sky rocketing cut-offs, the college is also mulling introducing six new courses, increasing its total number of seats to 230.
