Cops nab three for murder in Sarai Rohilla

The search for a murder accused took Delhi Police to Chandni Chowk, where they collected CCTV footage from the different shops visited by the deceased Amarchand, who was followed by two men and a juvenile. With some diligent work, cops nabbed the three men on Friday.

Amarchand was robbed and murdered by these three on April 27 in Sarai Rohilla, when he was returning home after collecting Rs 3 lakh cash from Chandni Chowk.

One of the assailants shot Amarchand when he tried to resist. He was rushed to the nearest hospital immediately but could not survive.

The CCTV footage collected by investigators showed three persons, who appeared to be suspects. The photographs of the three suspects distributed to all police stations of north district.

On May 12, sub-inspector Bharat received intel about the accused. Soon, investigators nabbed Kishan, the prime accused, and later arrested the other accused Mangal and detained the juvenile in conflict with the law.

During interrogation, Kishan admitted that he and his two associates were involved in the murder. "The accused had surveyed Chandni Chowk area multiple times to screen and target businessmen and traders who carry valuables," said DCP North Jatin Narwal.
