DDA to roll out 10,300 flats this month soon
NEW DELHI: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) Housing Scheme is going to roll out soon for 10,300 newly constructed flats of different categories in various localities in the month of February. This year the number of flats that will be launched is less.
The majority of flats under this 2019 DDA allotment will
be one-bedroom sets for economically weaker sections (EWS).
In DDA Housing Scheme 2019, 20,980 of total flats are being offered out of which 3,622 are for Janata or EWS (economically weaker sections), 16,298 for LIG (low-income group) flats, 579 for MIG (middle-income group) and 488 for HIG (high-income group) houses. The flats covered under this DDA scheme will be located in areas such as Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, Rohini, Narela, Siraspur, etc.
In order to provide relief to the economically weaker sections of the Society, DDA has considerably reduced the cost of its EWS flats to be allotted under the new schemes by allowing waiver of departmental charges and interest during the construction period. It will reduce the cost to the minimum extent of nearly Rs 2.50 lakh per flat. DDA has further slashed recovery of one-time maintenance charges by 50 per cent.
