DCW rescues woman held captive by parents

New Delhi: Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) was successful in rescuing a girl who was held as captive in her parent's home for seven months in Khajuri Khas area of east Delhi.
The victim had married against the wishes of her parents.
This incident was known to the commission after her husband tweeted about the ordeal of his wife to the DCE Chairperson Swati Jaihind.
Immediately, a team was formed along with the police to rescue the girl.
It was later known that Savita (name change) had a love marriage with Rajesh (name change) in January 2017.
