Day after doctor's suicide, police register case

New Delhi: A day after the 52-year-old woman, consultant Radiologist at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RML) allegedly committed suicide in New Delhi's North Avenue area, Delhi Police has registered the case against the three doctors named in the alleged suicide note of the deceased. Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Madhur Verma claimed that a case under section 306 (Abetment of suicide) of Indian Penal Code has been registered on the statement of Charanjiv Vohra who is the husband of deceased Dr Poonam Vohra. "We have registered the case against three doctors and we will soon question them," said DCP Verma adding that they will conduct the postmortem. The deceased had alleged harassment by a few doctors in an alleged note.

Investigator claimed that she was facing harassment related to an ACR report.
