DANICS officer hit by bus fighting for life

NEW DELHI: S R Kataria, a senior officer of Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS) was hit by a bus in Roop Nagar area of north Delhi on Thursday.
Police said the victim is still receiving the treatment in the hospital. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Jatin Narwal confirmed the incident and stated that the accused bus driver fled the spot after the incident.
Police claimed that the incident was reported around 6.45 am near Nagia park under bridge. Kataria was hit by bus, suspected to be a cluster bus, and seriously injured.
Sources added that a person travelling in the bus got down and took Kataria to a nearby hospital since the hospital at Gulabi Bagh. "After the incident, the accused driver fled the spot. We have launched a manhunt to nab him. The victim is still receiving treatment," said a police official.
