Dacoits shoot security guard dead, 2 women hurt in Noida

Noida: A gang of dacoits shot security guard to death and injured two women on resistance to enter their house in Noida's Sector 44 on Wednesday afternoon. The gang had entered the society as plumbers with an aim of committing robbery, said police.
However, a prompt response from the neighbours and locals helped to get hold over one of the assailants while others managed to flee away from the spot.
The deceased security guard has been identified as Bal Kishan Sharma who hailed from Farrukkhabad district of Uttar Pradesh. He was living in Nithari area of Noida along with his family.
According to the police officials, the incident was reported at around 3pm.
A gang of dacoits travelling in a Hyundai Santro car and a motorcycle entered the house claiming themselves as plumbers.
Uma Devi, one of the woman victims, called her son and told him about the arrival of plumbers. He refused to have sent any plumber to the house.
"One of the assailants heard their conversation and hit the woman with an iron rod at her head. Savitri, the maid, tried to resist but was also led down by the assailants. The son on the other side of phone heard the whole conversation and alerted the security guard and the neighbours. The security guard had a struggle with two assailants who were waiting at the main gate before they shot him dead," said a senior police official.
"The armed dacoits entered the house as plumbers and attacked three, including two women. They house is located in C block of the sector. The security guard was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The other two women victims have been admitted to the hospital and they are undergoing treatment.
"We are interrogating the arrested assailant to know the whereabouts of his other accompanies who fled," said Arun Kumar Singh, Superintendent of police, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
