CRPF soldier posted in J&K goes missing

Gurugram: Jaiprakash who is serving in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 180 battalion that is deputed in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir is missing for over a week. Serving his duty as a head constable driver, he had come on a two month vacation period and was leaving for resuming his duties after boarding the bus from Kadapur area in the city on August 10.
However, more than a week has passed and there has been no information on the whereabouts of him. The District police has begun the investigations to find him after his family filed a formal complaint at the Sohna Police Station of him being missing.
Adding more mystery to the case, the family members of Jaiprakash received a call on Wednesday informing them that his identity card, pan card and a purse containing Rs 500 was recovered from Jalandhar Cantt area.
Taking cognisance of the case, the district police have formed special teams and are in the process of tracking his call records.
