Criminal out on parole arrested for murdering associate
NEW DELHI: Delhi Police has solved a blind murder case with the arrest of accused Neeraj who murdered one of his previous associates for ditching him while sharing the booty of a dacoity after he went to jail.
Accused Neeraj alias Bandiya is a resident of Jhajjar Haryana. He, Tarun and other four criminals committed a dacoity in 2017, where he was arrested on the spot.
But he did not disclose name of Tarun to police to ensure that Tarun takes his and his family care during his jail period.
But, Tarun kept major part of the booty and did not take his enough care, even when, while in custody he got Hapetitis B infection in jail, which weakened him physically.
"This developed a grudge in mind of Neeraj alias Bandiya and he applied for Parole on ground of his sickness. He was released on parole on 26 february and was to surrender on April 10. Both took Tarun on motorcycle to a secluded place in jungle of village Sidhipur Loha where they confronted him with his alleged ditch," DCP Dwarka Anto Alphonse said.
After an argument Neeraj alias Bandiya shot Tarun in chest and fled, leaving no evidence to link him to murder. He escaped police by staying at different places but was cught from Najafgarh.
