Crime Branch nabs interstate sex racketeer

New Delhi: The Cyber Cell of Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested an interstate pimp on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Geeta Arora alias Sonu Punjaban

Police said the accused has been involved in five cases previously which include cases of ITP Act, Mcoca Act, Murder, POCSO Act.

The case was registered based on the statement of a minor girl, who alleged that she had been trafficked and tortured for prostitution.

Police said eelier the victim went missing due to fear of life from pimps sold her repeatedly including Sonu Punjaban (Geeta Arora).

The minor girl was traced and rescued by cops, after which she narrated her ordeal.

On the basis of her statement regarding immoral trafficking, sale, rape and torture for prostitution by pimps at many places in Delhi, UP, Haryana, Sonu Punjaban has been arrested by Crime branch. The accused was arrested under relevant sections of IPC.

Not only in Delhi, the accused was also accused in other states. During the investigation, police found that the Arora involved in a case registered in Bahadurgarh police station.
