Couple found dead in bathroom in Gzb

NEW DELHI: The bodies of a married couple were found inside the bathroom of their residence in Gyan Khand, Ghaziabad, on Friday, with police saying their cause of death is still unknown.

Cops said the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and they area awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of their deaths.

The deceased were identified as Niraj Singhania, 38, who was working as a deputy general manager at Matrix Cellular (International) Services Limited and his wife Ruchi Singhania, 35, police added.

According to sources, the couple had returned home, with the rest of their family members around 5.30 pm after celebrating Holi on Friday. Around 7.30 pm, Niraj's father knocked on their bedroom door, but returned after getting no response.

Half an hour later, he knocked on the door again, asking the two to join them for dinner, but there was again no response. Soon, he also called Niraj's younger brother Varun, tried to peek into the bedroom window by standing on a stool.

The family broke the bedroom door and found Niraj and Ruchi's lying unconscious and naked in the bathroom. The two were then rushed to the nearest hospital, but declared brought dead.
