Cops to probe if any minor worked at Bawana factory

New Delhi: Delhi Police will be investigating in the Bawana factory case whether any minor was working in the factory. According to police, these are the things which will be investigated and if the investigation revealed any minor working in the factory the section will be added in the case.
Recently, fire in a factory killed 17 persons in Bawana area of Rohini, the case was transferred from local police to Crime Branch of Delhi Police for detailed probe who will be investigating whether any minor was working in the factory. There were reports that a girl aged 18 years who died in the factory was minor. "Her age will be verified and then we have to check whether the girl was the laborer or she had came to meet anyone in the factory when the incident happened," said a police official.
The Crime Branch will also question the labourer who was not there on the day of the incident inside the factory to get more clue regarding the incident.''Whether they had any knowledge about the work which they were doing and also any training was given to work. All these things will be questioned," police said.
The Crime Branch of Delhi Police on Monday visited the factory. Police sources claimed that the case was transferred to Crime Branch but officially they have not started the probe. Sources claimed that the spot was visited by the team of Crime Branch who also took details from the investigation officer who was earlier handling the case.
