Cops held three for duping a property dealer of Rs 52 lakh

Delhi Police have arrested three persons for cheating a property dealer and his associates off Rs 52 lakh in South Delhi on Tuesday.
The accused have been identified as Naresh Chand, Vikram Singh and Mukesh Trivedi and were arrested from Saket.
The police have managed to recover Rs 41.76 lakh from the accused.
Further, raids are being conducted to arrest the remaining accused persons at their possible hideouts in Ghaziabad, Meerut, Bulandshehar, and Faridabad.
The case came to light on Monday evening, when the complainant in the case, Rajesh Kumar told the police
that he and three of his associates were robbed at gunpoint in Malviya Nagar's Panchsheel Park.
"Rajesh and his associates were asked to come with the money to a property dealer's office. They were supposed to purchase a plot of land in the area. After they met the accused at an office by the name of The Property Solution," said a senior police official.
After chatting for a while, when Rajesh and his associates were leaving the office, around eight men barged into the office and started abusing them.
In the meantime, some of the men took out old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 and said that Rajesh had come to the office to exchange the old notes, police claimed.
Before Rajesh could make sense of what had happened, some members whipped out their pistols and claimed that they were in fact associated with the police.
Rajesh and his associates had to flee the area, however, the accused persons wrested their bag containing the money and chased them from the office.
