Cop, journalist beaten up by mob in Faridabad

Faridabad: In two separate incidents, a cop and a journalist were beaten mercilessly by mob in Faridabad. Both have received severe injuries and have been admitted to different hospitals in the city.
In the first incident, a print journalist had objected of crackers being lit near his house. The complaint was enough to offend a group of people who then came in large numbers to his house and started physically assaulting him. The men who were in 10 to 12 in number even did not spare the women in the house and manhandled her.
The incident has been caught in the CCTV cameras and the police have begun their investigations in the case.
Meanwhile, the journalist fraternity in the city have also warned of protests if there is no concrete action by the police in the case.
In the second incident, a police official of the rank assistant sub inspector was beaten by a group of boys after he had asked them to not create nuisance on the streets of the city.
Based on sources, the boys who were drunk did not heed to the advice.
