Congress wrongly names AAP worker as its booth in-charge

NEW DELHI: Amid the speculations of AAP-Congress alliance, the ruling party of Delhi found that the State's Congress has published its own party members name as Congress' booth in-charge. Sources said that in the likely alliance the India vs State politics is playing the main dilemma of the party. Later, Congress in a statement claimed that it was a typological error.

"Due to a typing error, the name of the G T B Nagar Block Congress Committee (Ward No. 12) was given as Vipin Khanna, instead of Shri Vinod Bajaj, in the list of Block Congress Committee presidents released by the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee yesterday. We once again repeat that the name of the new Block Congress Committee president of GTB Nagar BCC (Ward No. 12) is Vinod Bajaj," clarified Congress.

In the Assembly elections of 2015, AAP bagged 67 of 70 seats and the remaining three went to the BJP; the Congress could not even open its account. Maken had been working on reviving the party that had ruled Delhi for a good 15 years under Sheila Dikshit. Recently, senior Congress leader Ajay Maken had resigned from the party as he had allegedly objected to any such pre-poll alliance between the Congress and the AAP. Similarly, HS Phoolka, a senior AAP leader had resigned after it came to his senses that there were serious talks of an AAP-Congress alliance ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.

Meanwhile, the AAP also continued its attack on the Center regarding various issues. The AAP welcomed the apex court's verdict reinstating the Central Bureau of Investigation Director Alok Verma by setting aside the three illegal orders issued by the Central Vigilance Commission and the Narendra Modi government during October 23rd midnight last year which had resulted in Verma's ouster as director and was sent on forced leave.
