Congress MLA booked for murder of BJP leader Gajendra Bhati

Ghaziabad: Congress Party ex-MLA from Sahibabad, Amarpal Sharma has been booked in the murder case of a BJP leader who was shot dead on Saturday in Khoda area of Ghaziabad, said police.
The deceased Gajendra Bhati was shot bullets in his head while he was travelling with one of his colleague on a motorbike. An FIR in Khoda police station has been lodged based on the complaint given by the deceased's brother, Yogesh Bhati.
Ghaziabad superintendent of police, Akash tomar confirmed to Millennium Post over the phone that the deceased's brother has accused Amarpal Sharma, the former MLA from Sahibabad, of allegedly murdering his brother with the help of his aides. According to the complainant, Bhati was killed at the behest of the former Bahujan Samaj Party legislator.
"My brother wanted to contest in the upcoming municipal elections in Khoda but Sharma had threatened him not to enter the fray," said the brother.
"On Saturday evening while I was travelling in a car and ahead were Gajendra Bhati and his colleague, Balbir Chauhan, riding on a motorcycle, the contract killers opened fire on them which killed Gajendra while Chauhan is still battling for his life," alleged the brother.
Meanwhile, Sharma defended himself and said: "Dragging of my name in the case is a political conspiracy. If I would have threatened Gajendra, then there must be some call logs or recording in the connection. The police must check my call records and i i will cooperate with them".
