Cong believes in development, says Maken

Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken said the Congress party will not make false promises to mislead the people and believes in the all-round development of Delhi.

Maken's comments came while inaugurating the election office of Surat Singh Saini, Congress candidate from ward number 59 in Rohini, for the MCD elections from the North Delhi Municipal Corporation.

He also threw open the offices of Prerna Singh at ward no. 82 in Anand Parvat, Sarika Gupta at ward no. 71 in Tri Nagar, Manoj Yadav in ward no. 70 at Rampura and Hemraj at ward no. 69 in Shakurpur.

Maken said when the Congress party was in power in Delhi for 15 years, the Capital witnessed unprecedented development works, to make it "one of the most beautiful cities in the world."

"The Congress party took effective measures to reduce pollution in Delhi when it introduced CNG in DTC buses," said Maken.

He further added that to reduce congestion on roads, flyovers were built at places where traffic jams used to be intense and regular.
