Comprehensive awareness plans to come up in Delhi

Health Minister Satyender Jain on Tuesday claimed that Delhi government has made a comprehensive awareness plans to combat with water-borne-diseases like Dengue, Malariaya and Chikungunya in Delhi. He would announce in the first week of August.
Jain asked the officials to be more vigilant about vector borne diseases, such as dengue and Chikungunya, in view of the rainy season ahead.
The Minister also asserted the need for an intensive awareness campaign so that there can be maximum sensitization of the people about the preventive measures and the preparedness required. He exhorted all the agencies to ramp up their activities and maintain 24x7 readiness, with their success indicator being the minimization of incidence of these vector-borne diseases in Delhi.
"In view of upcoming rainy season with possibility of water logging, all the agencies concerned must ensure necessary corrective action," he added. It was also emphasized that regular inspections and field visits must be undertaken by senior officials for monitoring.
