New Delhi: Delhi Police on Tuesday claimed to have averted a communal clash in East Delhi area.
The incident was reported from Trilokpuri area between two communities. Without wasting any time heavy police force reached the spot and made sure nothing happened. DCP (East) Ombir Singh told Millennium Post that due to quick reaction of police they were able to stop the protest before it escalated. "There is peace in area nothing had happened, police are deployed there," said the DCP.
The DCP said proper precautions were taken and claimed that no person was injured during the incident. However, they were probing how the incident started. Unconfirmed reports like stone pelting were coming, which is being verified, the officer added.
