College girl gang-raped near Ggn, one arrested

Gurugram: The vulnerability of women in and around Gurugram was again witnessed after a student of BA second year was abducted and gang raped by two men.
Police said the incident occurred in Farrukhnagar on January 15.
According to Inspector Karan Singh, the Station House Officer of Farrukhnagar police station, the rape survivor, who belonged to Kandewala village, was being stalked regularly by the perpetrators who used to live in an adjoining village.
On Monday, after coming to know that she was going to the college they followed her and then forcibly dragged her into the car and took turns to rape her.
They later left her in the desolate spot but not before threatening her not to report about the incident.
The 19-year-old rape survivor, however, gathered her courage and told her parents about the incident, which resulted in a formal police complaint being registered on Wednesday.
After three days since the heinous crime was committed, the Farukhnagar police have arrested a person named Pawan.
Shockingly, the case is of similar nature to the incident in Faridabad where two men who were under the influence of alcohol abducted an office going professional and gangraped in their SuV for two hours.
