CM inaugurates development works

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated the development works in 11-unauthorised colonies of Kirari assembly constituency on Saturday, February 09. Lanes and drains would be constructed under the project in these 11-colonies at an expense of Rs. 27 crores. The inauguration was also attended by the Flood & Irrigation Minister Satyendar Jain and local MLA Rituraj.

"Delhi Government has been striving for a better life for the residents of the unauthorised colonies of Delhi since it came to power. Work of roads-lanes, drains, sewer lines, water pipelines and street lights have been carried out in a huge number of colonies in the last four years by the Delhi Government," said an official

A total of 272 lanes and 544 drains would be constructed under the project in these 11-colonies. The total length of the lanes is 29 kilometres, while the total length the drain to be constructed is 58 kilometres. The work will be completed in December 2019. The total number of residents to benefit from the project once completed is 80 thousand.

The Delhi Chief Minister on Saturday also inaugurated "walk-in casualty" centre at GTB hospital.
