NEW DELHI: A low-floor DTC bus caught fire on Monday in Delhi's Karkardooma area on Monday afternoon. No casualty was reported in the incident. All the passengers were evacuated safely along with the bus driver and the conductor. Soon the Fire brigade was informed and several fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames. The reason behind the fire is yet to be known. The fire tenders took some time to douse the flames.

In April this year, a low-floor DTC bus caught fire allegedly due to a short circuit in the engine while descending a flyover in North Delhi's Hanuman Mandir area. Passengers in the bus were immediately rescued.
