Clash between rival gangs leaves one dead in East Delhi

A clash between two criminal groups in East Delhi's Preet Vihar on Thursday left one person dead dead.

The rival group opened fire at the members of the other gang at an eatery. Meanwhile, Delhi Police have launched a manhunt for the accused person(s).

Earlier in the day, both the groups were involved in a feud. But, after one group received information that one Vishal Suri and his associates were at an eatery outside a mall in East Delhi, they opened fire at them. The bullet hit Vishal who collapsed on spot.

Soon, the police were informed and took Vishal to the hospital where he was declared brought dead. The cops are now questioning two of Vishal's friends to get information about the members of their rival gang.
The incident created panic in the area as it was a busy place and the firing could have hit anyone present in the eatery. The car-borne assailants had soon fled the spot after the firing.

Sources said, "There were several rounds of firing from both the sides." Also, the both the groups had several criminal cases registered against them including robbery and snatching, stated the cops. "We have information that someone else from the rival group has also been hit but we have not been able to trace him. Both parties fought earlier and have criminal cases registered against them," said DCP East Ombir Bishnoi.
The cops have formed several teams who are scanning the CCTV footage to acquire information on the assailants.
