Civil defense volunteer stabbed to death, three held

NEW DELHI: A 23-year-old Civil Defence Volunteer was reportedly stabbed to death in North West Delhi's Azadpur area on Sunday. Police claimed that they have arrested the accused involved in the case.
According to police, a call was received in Adarsh Nagar police station on Sunday that somebody has stabbed Govind. A police team reached Petrol Pump, Opposite Parmeshwari Wala Bagh, where it was learned that injured has already been taken to Hindu Rao Hospital. "Govind could not survive due to severe stabbed injury, which punctured his heart," police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West), Milind Mahadeo Dumbere stated that eyewitnesses have narrated the facts that two persons having stout built came to have juice from a vendor namely Santosh in the afternoon near Petrol Pump, Opposite Parmeshwari Wala Bagh. Duo wanted to enjoy drinks free of cost.
"Vendor Santosh Kumar resisted this and demanded the cost of the juice. They had denied to pay and started to use filthy language as well as exchanged hot words with Santosh.
"Thereafter, vendor Santosh had a scuffle with these persons near Public Toilet," said the DCP.
Then, they had escaped from there with some threats. Later on, in evening they returned back to the same place close to Petrol Pump to teach the lesson to Santosh for their insult in the afternoon.
"At about 8.30 in the evening, Govind had reached there and joined Mahesh, Sumit, and Santosh in the quarrel. Meanwhile, Satish, whose name has been established later on during investigation, took out a button operated knife from his possession and stabbed Mahesh and Govind on his chest," said Milind Mahadeo Dumbere .
The name of the other co-accused was also established as Sandeep during the course of an investigation.
Satish, Sagar and Sandeep had also stabbed one more person named Sanju, while they were escaping from the spot after committing the crime.
