City cops conduct massive checking drive; liquor and gun seized in Ggn

Gurugram: In a city where there is constant challenge of law and order, the Gurugram police on Thursday night conducted a massive operation of nigh surveillance in various parts of the city.
The operation was conducted in around 243 locations of the city. There were around 257 police officials were present deputed on duty. In this operation there were total of 64 criminals were arrested. The law enforcement officials also seized over 16 cartons of illegal foreign liquor. One pistol and three live cartridges were also recovered.
During the drive over 590 vehicles were fined, 15 vehicles impounded.
"Even though our officials are always on ground to improve the law and order situation there are special days where we deploy more forces and conduct more stringent searches. In the past also we have received success in such operation in getting hold of the criminals who were carrying out nefarious activities on city streets," said a police official.
