CISF detects two gold bars at Mumbai airport
New Delhi: CISF on Sunday claimed that they detected two gold bars worth approximately Rs three lakh at Mumbai Airport.
According to CISF, during pre-embarkation security check through X-BIS machine at Security Hold Area of Terminal-02, Mumbai Airport, CISF personnel detected two gold bars weighing about 100 gram from the wallet of a
passenger.
"The said passenger was identified as Ismail Hakimuddin Bhai Jadliwala (Indian) arrived from Muscat by flight and further bound for Ahmedabad by flight," said CISF in their press statement.
On enquiry, he could not produce any valid document. Senior Officers of CISF and customs officials of Mumbai Airport were
informed.
Later, the passenger along with the recovered gold bars was handed over to customs officials for further legal action in the
matter.
