Child hurt in Budh Vihar celeberatory firing
New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Sunday continues their investigation to nab the person who was involved in celebratory firing in Budh Vihar area of Rohini district. Police said that a child was injured in the case who was operated on Sunday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) SD Mishra said that the 12-year-old child had went through operation after he was hit by a bullet in the upper side of the body. "We are investigating the case to nab that person involved in the incident," said DCP Mishra.
The incident took place on Saturday when there was a wedding ceremony, people were happy.
Suddenly some bullet was fired and a child who was looking from the third floor of the building.
Panic gripped in the society and the child was rushed to the hospital where he is receiving treatment. Police have registered a case in this regards. Footages are also being scanned to nab the culprit.
This is not the first case of celebratory firing. Earlier in January, a woman died in celebratory firing during a New Year's Eve party at former JD (U)MLA Raju Singh's farmhouse succumbed to injuries even as the legislator and his driver were arrested.
In another case, a six-year-old boy was killed and a man was injured in a firing incident at a gym in west Delhi's Inderpuri, the police said.
