CCTV footage shows 3 men brutally killing stray dog

New Delhi: A video grab from a CCTV camera in Vasant Vihar area of south Delhi has recorded a cruel footage in which three young men were seen crushing the head of a sleeping stray dog with stones on Tuesday and later carrying it away after stuffing it into a polybag.
The incident was recorded in the intervening night of August 14 and 15 at around 4 am.
The sleeping dog was attacked by three men who first spotted the dog.
They later were seen silently creeping towards the dog to not to wake it up.
The men were seen carring big stones in their hands while one kept a watch on the lane.
In next few minutes started the heart wrenching video where they were seen aiming the head of the sleeping dog to kill him on the spot.
They brutally and repeatedly attacked the dog with big stones.
The CCTV grab showed that the dog bled to death in three shots by the men.
Later, they were seen carrying the dog to a smaller and darker lane away from the street light where it was killed.
Soon, all three dispersed and later re-emerged with a poly bag in their hand.
In the next part of the video, the men were seen to be alerted by their 'spotter' sitting at the end of the lane.
A girl was seen coming inside the lane and the boys dispersed. The girl seemed to be suspicious of their acts and turned and looked at them before she vanished from the CCTV frame.
Just after the girl was gone, the boys rushed towards the lane where they kept the dead dog and stuffed it into the polybag.
After the shocking video went viral on social media, the cops swung into action and an FIR was registered.
"In the matter of killing of a stray dog under section 428 IPC and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act 1960 is registered," said Chinmoy Biswal, Additional DCP South.
However, no arrests have been made so far.
