CBI charge-sheet says Ashok Kumar wrongly framed

Gurugram: Earlier, these were speculations, now it is official and on record. The CBI in its charge-sheet has not only given a clean chit to Ashok Kumar but has also stated that he was wrongly framed by the Gurugram police.
The CBI chargesheet on Monday blames that the district police extracted a confession from the 42-year-old bus conductor through extreme torture. After being released on bail, the bus conductor had told that he was not only mercilessly beaten up but also electrocuted.
The premier investigating agency has claimed that the district police did not investigate the case properly and overlooked the vital evidences in the case.
In what can add to more troubles for the Gurugram police, Director General of Police (DGP) BS Sandhu has said that he is taking cognisance of the charge-sheet. He asserted that there will be action taken against certain district police officials if found guilty. Ever since the shocking incident of Pradyuman being murdered brutally in the washroom of the school came to fore, the case has witnessed various twists and turns.
Initially, the Gurugram police arrested the school bus conductor Ashok Kumar in the case and gave the theory that he slit the throat of class II students after he was unable to sexually exploit him.
Not impressed by the claims of the Gurugram police, the family of Pradyuman continued to demand for a CBI probe. After constant pressure, the government finally relented and allowed the CBI to take over the case.
The CBI after its investigation charged a juvenile studying in the same school with the murder. It also said that the juvenile committed the crime so that the exams and subsequently the parent teacher meeting are postponed.
