Casual performance licence now just a click away

NEW DELHI: As part of the Delhi Police Digital initiatives for "Digital India - Power to Empower", an "Online System" for the grant of Casual Performance Licenses(CPL) in the Licensed Premises is being launched by Delhi Police for making it speedy, transparent and efficient with hassle-free services.

The "Online Licensing System" is the latest initiative by Delhi Police for ensuring instant delivery by simplifying the process of issue of Casual Performance License. The system has been designed, developed and implemented internally after consultations with all stake-holders and I.T. professionals.

The Licensing Unit of Delhi Police plays a vital role in providing services across a broad spectrum thus bringing Delhi Police closer to the Citizens. The Licensing Unit has the onerous task of not only granting licenses but also for ensuring that all the license conditions are strictly enforced by the local police so that the safety, security and convenience of citizens are not compromised.

"It was anticipated that with the onset of the winter season, there would be a spurt in such programmes being held in Delhi. With the launch of this system, the public can now apply and obtain Online Licenses at the click of the mouse for Casual Performances at Licensed Auditoriums, Hotels and Motels in the entire Delhi." said a senior police officer.

It would enable citizens to apply for casual performance license from the comfort of their homes and they would be able to check the status of their application online.This would also reduce repetitive manual work in the Licensing Unit and give them more time for better output.The system links all 13 Districts and 6 Traffic Ranges and the Licensing Unit for Online processing.
