Cardiologist found dead under mysterious circumstances

NEW DELHI: Sixty-year-old cardiologist Vipin Bajaj slept inside his room at the second floor in Mukherjee Nagar on Monday night in North West Delhi, however when his wife went to check him on Tuesday morning, he was not in his room rather his dead body was found in the lane adjacent to his balcony. The police is unsure of what exactly happened just like the family.

Though he was cardiologist police said that he was not practising for the past 10 to 12 years. He resided with his family that is his wife and his daughter.

"When he did not come out of his room in the morning, the wife went inside to check out. She found him not present inside the room, rather his body was found in the adjacent lane near the bacony," said a senior police officer.

The police is trying to understand what has happened. Teams have been formed and cops are trying to find any CCTV in the area to rule out any foreign entry. Crime team visited the spot and collected the samples and the body has been sent for postmortem. "Most of the things would be clear only after the postmortem, until then nothing concrete could be said," the officer said. Friends and relatives of the doctor will be questioned once they come out of grief. Police has formed teams and is trying to unravel the mystery.
