Car driven by teenager mows down 8-yr-old

NEW DELHI: An eight-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries, while his three-year-old sibling is fighting for his life, after a 17-year-old boy ran them over with his in outer Delhi's Najafgarh.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Nikhil, while his brother Nihal is in a critical condition at a local hospital.
Police said they received a PCR call about the incident around 10.45 am on Wednesday, after which a team rushed to the spot.
Sources said that the accused juvenile, who lives in the same area as the victims, was handling the car that his father had rented as there were two weddings at their house.
When he started reversing the car and lost control, struck the siblings and rammed into a wall.
Hearing the cries of the two boys, several locals gathered at the spot, along with the parents of the boys.
Both the children were rushed to a local hospital, where Nikhil was declared brought dead on arrival.
Police said the victims' father Sandeep Singh is a vegetable seller in Najafgarh's Prem Vihar area.
Sources confirmed that a case has been registered at Najafgarh police station and investigation has begun.
