Cabinet Minister reviews Ggn infrastructure works
Gurugram: Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh on Monday review the progress of the infrastructure works that are happening in Gurugram.
Among the projects that were on his agenda was the o ease the traffic at Sirhaul border, an underpass will soon commence near the Ambience Mall.
Built at a total cost of Rs 170 crores the underpass will be constructed in three stages and will measure 377 metres in length with 13 lanes.
The work for the project which is expected to begin on January 15 will end in August 2020 as per sources.
The plan to build an underpass was in works for a long time but it could not be worked out due to miscellaneous factors.
It is important to note that NHAI has already constructed a host of underpasses and flyover along the Delhi-Jaipur highway where Sirhaul border is actually located.
The area, however, witnesses massive jam, especially during Festival times.
It also forms a vital link between Gurugram and Delhi but all the office goers moving towards Udyog Vihar, DLF Phase-3 and Ambience Lagoon also use the stretch.
To deal with the massive traffic jams experienced around the area A the Gurugram police had planned demarcation of entries and exits around the area.
